Overall Position Goal The studio assistant role is an entry-level position for an individual who wants to combine his/her retail and creative skills with our talented team in a challenging, rewarding environment. Reporting to the studio manager, this position is responsible for open studio hostess, customer sales, inventory upkeep, and to assist our creative instructors with camps, classes or parties. The goal of the studio assistant is to offer support in various areas to insure that the studio is fully stocked, organized and prepared for customers. Studio assistants must have an interest in creativity and a passion for enhancing children’s and adult’s lives through creativity, with a desire to understand and internalize the mission, purpose, values and goals of Little Red Hen Studio.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  1. Assist creative instructors with class, camp and party prep including gathering supplies, labeling supplies for upcoming events.
  2. Responsible for décor and room set up for upcoming parties.
  3. Responsible for materials prep, bagging and kit creating for open studio sales
  4. Provide assistance to customers in open studio with suggestions, material use and supplies.
  5. Maintain clean open studio area including organization and visual appeal of shelves and displays.
  6. Responsible for studio cleanliness, organization and overall appearance
  7. Responsible for supply cleanliness: cleaning brushes, cups, dishes and paint pallets.
  8. Responsible for inventory upkeep, re-order instructions and restocking.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Needed:

  7. Flexible schedule Give sufficient notice (24 hours) to your immediate supervisor if you are unable to work your assigned hours.
  8. Artistic knowledge multiple areas of painting, crafting and mixed media execution. General knowledge of material uses used for project creation
  9. Knowledge of Square register system
  10. Knowledge of spreadsheets for inventory upkeep and re-ordering

We are a small, family owned and operated bakery, and we make the best cakes around! We are looking for a reliable, hardworking individual with a positive attitude to join our team as a Froster. This position offers approx. 15-25 hours/week for now (hours to increase during the holidays), and our new team member must be available to work Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. No experience necessary, but new hire should possess the ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Position Summary:

The froster is responsible for making the NBC signature frosting and applying it to the full range of products for walk-in, preordered and marketing orders. This person must keep the display case fully stocked, maintain an ample supply of samples and maintain appropriate par levels of additional cakes. The froster is responsible for keeping the frosting station clean, sanitized and running efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Abide by all NBC policies and procedures.
Uphold the NBC image and brand.
Assist other departments as needed and directed.
Frost all cakes for same-day and next-day orders.
Keep retail cases stocked with Bundtlets, 8-inch and 10- inch cakes and back-up sample trays.
Maintain par levels in all sizes.
Make frosting when stock level is below par.
Fold boxes.
Keep frosting area, tables, microwave and tool bins clean and sanitized according to local codes.

The Guest Services Representative (GSR) creates a warm and welcoming environment in which to serve the Nothing Bundt Cakes guests both in person and by telephone. The GSR does side work duties for the Crafting Department, some light cleaning and clerical duties.

Give cake presentations while performing quality control tests.
Operate and balance the register with accuracy and efficiency.
Collect email addresses from guests.
Keep samples available during operating hours.
Have current and complete knowledge of prices, products and promotions.
Keep retail area clean, swept and neatly merchandised throughout the day.
Dust all retail surfaces at least twice per week, including counter tops and POS stations.
Carry out side work assigned by the crafter.
Track inventory and sales as requested.
