Youth Leadership Jefferson County

Youth Leadership Jefferson County (YLJC) is an innovative program that develops the leadership potential of high school students in Jefferson County. Students get a chance to interact with community leaders and institutions, broaden their perspective on community issues, explore career options, and learn how to work with teams, when to take charge as a leader, and how to be a productive follower. Each full-day monthly session focuses on an aspect of the community including government, business, health services, and public service.

Tuition for YLJC is $250

DEADLINE TO APPLY: MAY 7th, 2018

Includes lunches and materials

Students must provide their own transportation to the sites of each class in Jefferson County.

About YOUTH LEADERSHIP JEFFERSON COUNTY:

YLJC was created in 1998. It is modeled after the highly successful adult Leadership Jefferson County program now in its 31st year. In previous years, YLJC was a program coordinated by The West Chamber Foundation. Today it is operated by the Jefferson County Business Education Alliance, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) based in Golden, Colorado.
